| No, we do not think this is fair, as afterall this is a ultitly that is akin to gas/elec/etc. This is obviously not going to work, in properties that are fitted with a water meter, wheras the user pays for the supply currently. | |

| I don't think this is fair either. I cant believe that this has been proposed, as it is not the landlords fault if a tenant does not pay for their utilities. The water board companies should take more measures to secure addresses and guarantor addresses of tenants in let accommodation. | |

| Whilst harvesting and distributing a naturally produced product such as water does come with a range of costs that have to be paid for by the consumer this latest bit of junk legislation really takes the biscuit. The water companies make millions of pounds out of us and yet to boost profits even further wish to remove a layer of administration ie debt collection and pass the responsibilty on the good guy. So if the tenant scarpers then hey, lets not waste our time and resources on the tenant, but collect it from the landlord,he can't go anywhere after all.DO YOUR JOB PROPERLY IN THE FIRST PLACE and stop trying to pass the BUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |
